What a beautiful day on Wednesday!  Is summer here already?  Bright Florida sunshine and a large happy group of guests.  The seas were calm with light souther breezes.

Today we will have light southerly winds and calm seas….again….great day for a cruise….

 

Operations:  If you come by Cruise Terminal-2 early these past couple of weeks….you may be curious to see the Victory-1 in different positions…..At midnight on various nights we will turn the ship around in order to lift off the life rafts with a large 40-ton crane.  At 830 am we hurry to get the ship back in position as we always open the Gangway to our early guests at 0930am.  All (14) of our life rafts have to be removed from the ship and taken to an independent USCG certified inspector EVERY YEAR.  They will open and inspect every part and piece of the life raft and put it back together again.  Just one more reason your US flag ship, US citizen crews, and your US Coast Guard make the Victory 1 one of the safest and most professionally operated ships in the world.
