Yesterday was a breezy day but we still had a good ride. Winds were from the east at about 15-17 kts. The waves were 2-3 ft. We were able to run east and west and this kept the waves directly on our bow or our stern. A good ride with very little motion.
Today the winds have died down and are from the east at about 10kts. Waves will be 2-3 ft and subsiding into the afternoon.
Ship Fact: The vessel is equipped with “fixed Stabilizers” to reduce or (dampen) the ships “rolling motion. These are big “wings” that are fixed to the hull at about a 90 degree angle and are about 7 feet wide and run on both sides of the ship from near the bow to near the stern.
