Friday’s cruises were a little taste of summer…warm temperatures and southerly winds….made for good cruising both the AM and PM cruises.

This morning I am on the bridge looking at cloudy weather and northerly winds….Mother nature can change her mood quickly!

Not to worry I did say northerly winds….so back to Captains Cove today.  The winds will be north and the forecast says 15-20 kts.  But the waves in Captain’s Cove will be 1-2 ft. Come Join us for a great Saturday afternoon cruise.

Nautical Terms:  Water Spout: This is a mini Tornado at sea. (but with winds only 30-40kts)  We often see them along with thunder storms…..They are an interesting Phenomenon.  Some of us would intentionally in the path of one to get a free fresh water wash down (shower for the ship) as they always have heavy rain within them. Well the truth is we would chase them out of boredom on a long Ocean passage…but the shower idea sounds good anyway….
