Today the forecast is for winds from the east and southeast at about 10kts.  This will be a typical day in our area with waves at about 2 ft. The ship will ride with minimal motion and we will run east and west to keep the waves on our bow and stern.

The rest of the week has a forecast of 10-15 kts and seas 2-3 ft.  Looks like another good weather week.  Come sail with us.

Ship Fact:  The stabilizers I wrote about yesterday were added during a dry dock about 1984.  I spoke with the Naval Architect that designed and installed them yesterday. He noted that a brief study they did after the installation revealed that they (stabilizers) reduced the “roll” (side to side motion) by about 25-30%.
